Choosing A Qualified Buyer’s Agent

What is a Buyer’s Agent?

A buyer’s agent is an advocate for the buyer – not the seller – in a real estate transaction.  The two most important reasons to use a buyer’s agent are protection and efficiency.

The Agent Who Has The Listing….

Keep in mind that the agent who has the listing is representing the seller and the seller’s interest.  Their goal is to get the seller the best price and terms.  As a buyer don’t you want complete and fair representation in your real estate transaction?  Using a buyer’s agent ensures that you are equally represented.

What does it cost you to hire a buyer’s agent?

It is customary in our market for the buyer’s brokerage to receive compensation from the seller as advertised in the MLS.   For sale by owner and new construction purchases that are not listed in MLS are exceptions.
